Nathan G. Conyers, our dealer here at Riverside Ford, was recently named a recipient of the Northwood University Outstanding Business Leader Award, class of 2000. The announcement was made by David Fry, president of Northwood University, a private business management university located in Midland, Michigan.

Mr. Conyers was one of eight honorees who, 'exemplify Northwood's commitment to free enterprise, to volunteerism, and to excellence in business leadership. These individuals are worthy role models, not only for Northwood students but for all who aspire to an honorable, productive and meaningful life.'

MR. CONYERS TO BUILD NEW JAGUAR DEALERSHIP

The new dealership will be constructed on the corner of Haggerty and Ten Mile road in the city of Novi. It will be one of the largest Jaguar stores in the United States.

The dealership will be approximately 22,000 square feet, and is expected to sell over 500 new vehicles per year.

The store will feature customer-driven design features such as private customer lounges equipped with telephone and computer access, a gourmet coffee bar and a supervised children's play area.

Riverside Ford will continue to be located in downtown Detroit with renovation plans to begin in the fall of next year.

The new dealership is only the second franchise awarded to an African American dealer from the Jaguar Motorcar Company, which is now owned by Ford Motor Company.

Jaguar plans to introduce a brand new, less expensive model in the fall of 2001. The X400, a luxury sedan selling for $30-35,000, will appeal to younger and older car buyers alike, who require style and quality in their automobiles.
